The Standard Bylaws governing new strata corporations created under the Strata Property Act are set out in this Schedule. Section 17.11 of the Strata Property Regulation, B.C. Reg. 43/2000, at chapter 58 (Strata Property Regulations), states that on January 1, 2002, the Standard Bylaws will replace the bylaws of existing strata corporations created under the Condominium Act, except to the extent that different bylaws are filed at the land title office. The Standard Bylaws address such issues as the duties of owners, tenants, occupants, and visitors; the powers and duties of the strata corporation; the strata council; bylaw and rule enforcement; annual and special general meetings; voluntary dispute resolution; and the owner developer’s marketing activities.
