250 (1) On the deposit of a strata plan, the registrar must establish a general index for the strata corporation.

  • (2) The registrar must make an endorsement of all of the following in the general index:
  • (a) the Schedule of Unit Entitlement referred to in section 245(a);
  • (b) the Schedule of Voting Rights, if any, referred to in section 245(b);
  • (c) the mailing address, and any fax number, of the strata corporation filed under section 62 or 245(c);
  • (d) the bylaws referred to in section 245(d);
  • (e) any amendments to the bylaws;
  • (f) any amalgamation agreements under section 269;
  • (g) any order of the registrar under section 275 or of the Supreme Court under section 279;
  • (h) any resolutions and accompanying documents that are required to be filed in the land title office under this Act;
  • (i) any other document relating to the strata corporation that is required to be filed in the land title office and that is not noted or endorsed elsewhere in the records of the land title office.
  • (3) If a document is required under this Act to be filed in the land title office, the filing is complete when an endorsement of the document is made in the general index.

REGULATIONS AND FORMS

First Phase Deposited before July 1, 2000

Section 17.17(2) of the Strata Property Regulation, B.C. Reg. 43/2000, provides that if the first phase of a phased strata plan has been deposited in the land title office before July 1, 2000, the requirements for the schedule of unit entitlement, schedule of voting rights, schedule of interest on destruction, and address for service set out in ss. 1(2) to (6) and 4(f) to (i) of the Condominium Act and the forms required for those sections apply to all phases of the phased strata plan. Sections 245(a) to (c), 246 to 248, and 250(2)(a) to (c) of the Strata Property Act do not apply in these circumstances. The Strata Property Regulation is included at chapter 58 (Strata Property Regulations).

Other Documents Relating to the Strata Corporation

In addition to the endorsements referenced expressly in s. 250(2) of the Act, the registrar includes the following endorsements in the general index for the strata corporation:

  1. freehold dispositions of common property (see s. 14.14 of the Strata Property Regulation);
  2. an Amended Schedule of Interest on Destruction (see ss. 17.20 and 17.21 of the Strata Property Regulation and Form Z.1).

Submissions

On the Strata Property Act Filing form, select Form Z.1, Amended Schedule of Interest on Destruction, and attach an image of the original Form Z.1.
