  • 62 (1) The strata corporation must ensure that the correct mailing address for the strata corporation is filed in the land title office.
  • (2) The address may be accompanied by a fax number.
  • (3) If a strata corporation changes its mailing address, it must file a Strata Corporation Change of Mailing Address in the prescribed form in the land title office.

The Strata Property Regulation, B.C. Reg. 43/2000, is included at chapter 59 (Strata Property Regulations).

Strata Corporation Change of Mailing Address, Form D: Section 62(3)

The Strata Property Regulation prescribes Form D, Strata Corporation Change of Mailing Address, for the purpose of s. 62 of the Act. Form D is included at chapter 60 (Strata Property Forms).

Submissions

On the Strata Property Act Filing form, select Form D, Strata Corporation Change of Mailing Address, and attach an image of the original Form D.

Strata Corporations Created under Condominium Act

Section 17.4 of the Strata Property Regulation provides that a strata corporation created under the Condominium Act need not comply with the requirements of s. 62 until January 1, 2002.

In complying with s. 17.4 of the regulation, a strata corporation may use a Form X, Strata Corporation Mailing Address, if the strata corporation’s address has not changed from the address shown on the strata plan.

Submissions

On the Strata Property Act Filing form, select Form X, Strata Corporation Mailing Address, and attach an image of the original Form X.

Where a filing pertains to a strata plan filed under the Condominium Act and the mailing address is still noted on the strata plan, the registrar amends the original and duplicate copy of the strata plan by striking out the mailing address and adding a direction to search the strata plan general index for the mailing address.
