Human Rights Code, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 210

The Act protects individuals from discrimination and establishes procedures for resolving complaints. Section 37 provides for the making of orders where discrimination has taken place. A certified copy of an order may be filed in the Supreme Court by the party in whose favour the order is made or by a person designated in the order.

  • Electronic Submissions: On the Form 17 Charge, Notation or Filing, select Nature of Interest, Judgment, and attach an image of a court certified copy of an order under the Human Rights Code.
  • Effect of Filing: Order, once filed, has the same force and effect as judgment of the court.
