119 (1) The strata corporation must have bylaws.

  • (2) The bylaws may provide for the control, management, maintenance, use and enjoyment of the strata lots, common property and common assets of the strata corporation and for the administration of the strata corporation.

Standard Bylaws

Bylaws for Phased Strata Plan

See s. 13.2 of the Strata Property Regulation, B.C. Reg. 43/2000, in chapter 58 (Strata Property Regulations), which provides that, upon deposit of a phase other than the first phase of a phased strata plan, the bylaws of the strata corporation for the new phase are the bylaws established and amended in the first phase of a phased strata plan.

Bylaws for Section within the Strata Corporation

See s. 197 of the Act, which provides that the bylaws of the strata corporation apply to a section unless they have been amended by the section.

Bylaws for Strata Corporation Created under the Condominium Act

See s. 17.11 of the Strata Property Regulation, B.C. Reg. 43/2000, regarding the application of Standard Bylaws to a strata corporation created under the Condominium Act. The Strata Property Regulation is included in chapter 58 (Strata Property Regulations).
