The statutory provisions summarized below create a variety of instruments that may be registered in the land title office.

In addition to the information provided below, also note that under some Acts a notation may be made on title as notice that the land is subject to a designation under a particular Act and to the provisions of that Act. Such Acts typically regulate or restrict dealings with or use of the land. See for example:
