Miscellaneous Instruments

In This Volume

The statutory provisions summarized below create a variety of instruments that may be registered in the land title office.

In addition to the information provided below, also note that under some Acts a notation may be made on title as notice that the land is subject to a designation under a particular Act and to the provisions of that Act. Such Acts typically regulate or restrict dealings with or use of the land. See for example:

  1. Agricultural Land Commission Act, s. 60
  2. Heritage Conservation Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 187, s. 32
  3. Resort Associations Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 320, s. 9
  4. Resort Municipality of Whistler Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 407, s. 19
