Plan Numbering System

Electronic Plans

The subdivision plan numbering system used by land title offices since April 1, 2007, contains the following elements:

  1. Electronic plans for the province have two plan numbering series, one for strata plans and the second for all other plans. The plan numbers are pre-assigned and obtained from myLTSA electronic filing by a British Columbia land surveyor. See “Request New Plan Numbers” at https://help.ltsa.ca/myltsa-enterprise/request-new-plan-numbers.
  2. The strata plans for the Province are preceded with an identifier, namely:
      Identifier
      April 1, 2007
    All Districts EPS
  3. Electronic land title plans, other than strata plans, are preceded with an identifier, namely:
      Identifier
      April 1, 2007
    All Districts EPP

Hardcopy Plans

The subdivision plan numbering system used by land title offices since November 15, 1990, contains the following elements:

  1. Each office has two plan numbering series, one for strata plans and the second for all other plans.
  2. The strata plans in each land title district are preceded with a unique identifier, namely:
