  • (a) assign another distinguishing letter to the remainder of the previously registered parcel of which the newly created parcel forms part, or
  • (b) describe the remainder by excepting the newly created parcel.

Use of Distinguishing Letters

The registrar may assign a distinguishing letter to the remainder of the previously registered parcel if the registrar feels it would be clearer or less confusing than describing the remainder by excepting the newly created parcel (e.g., when the remainder has a large number of exceptions).
