This Part deals generally with the documentary requirements of applications for the registration of instruments, the supporting evidence that must accompany applications, and the withdrawal and rejection of applications. This Part also deals with the registrar’s powers to require the deposit of instruments, including the power to issue a summons for the production or deposit of an instrument. Additional requirements relating to the registration of specific types of instrument are located in subsequent Parts of the Act, such as Part 12 (Transfers) and Part 14 (Registration of Title to Charges).
